i've been watching since day 1 and it's clearly been going downhill and i'm a very harsh judge. having said that, last nights ep was phenomenal, wow. really really good.

Whaaaaaaaaaaat? That's crazy talk! The last 2 seasons were clearly the best and most consistent seasons of Peep show.

just curious, have you been watching from the beginning or did you do a huge catchup session?

from other discussions regarding other tv shows, i find that it's usually those who have watched it every year who notice the decline in quality, whereas those who jump in late are usually of the opinion 'wow it's as good as it ever was / wow it's better than ever!'. which is why i wrote that 'day 1' sentence which i'm aware comes off sounding horrible

Nope have watched since the beginning. Especially for repeat viewing season 4/5 are top in my opinion

I just watched it on their website. Of course, I have a PC, and IE. I don't remember having to install anything, if I did I must have done it years ago.

Just watched them online - last time I used 4OD you had to install it.

1st ep was alright actually, second though

Rehashed plotline yet again (especially noticeable when Mark was in bed with Dobby and was distracted by baby thoughts vs Mark in bed with Sophie and being distracted by his huge balls and also irrationally blaming an outside factor (being hungry when bungee jumping with Sophie vs being hot at the end of this ep) to get out of a sticky situation. Even Jeremy Reading his poetry to a girl in his room has been done before, except he was playing them his music previously.*
I may sound as if I'm being picky but whenever moments like this happen I find myself thinking of the previous situation and I laugh at the memory I'm reminded of rather than what is currently happening which is frustrating. As funny as some of the lines are if they have run out of original ideas I don't really see the point in the show continuing :-(

Also, season 1 & 2 are the best by far in my books. The episode when Mark thinks he may fancy Johnson and grows a mustache and watched gay porn is still unsurpassed. Those first two seasons seem as if they are made by completely different people sadly. Elena is very hot though!

I know I'm still a geek when my favourite line was:

Mark: "I'm cancelling you Sophie. I'm cancelling you out of shame ... just like my White Dwarf subscription"

Once again I identified with Mark, when Jez said "less" and Mark internally corrected him with "fewer". I am sad now.

Thought this was one of the dullest episodes in quite some time, found Johnson really irritating in it too.
