I'd rather pay for something that works, rather than something that doesn't do it so well by all accounts.

I can't get my new HD box to stay online long enough to set up remote record. Is there any way of phoning them instead as this is annoying!

Looks like the estimate given to me for my HD box of 3 months was not an exaggeration, still another 5 or so weeks to wait!

Like the look of the new EPG.

TV Plus is great...

Deffo a must have app in my book. It's been a life saver on many occasions and has never let me down.

Anyone know what's going on with 'favourites'.. I use it quite a lot but it seems to start from the previous few channels instead of the one you are watching! It's really annoying.

It's the new feature! It now starts with the last channel you watched, so blue then select becomes the old predigi Alt button.

You should read my posts from the last few pages as I've had the new EPG a month now and have been posting the things I've found as I find them.

I have just got the 2-4weeks email.
Seems to be always at the lower estimate of the range given but never earlier than that.

Just a quick question here.

Currently have Sky broadband mid (£5 a month), Sky HD (£10 a month), multi room (£10 a month), Variety & kids packs (£17.50), plus BT line rental (£18ish a month), and what to cut back a bit.

Thinking of ditching BT, Skybroadband, kids & multiroom and having Virgin TV for line rental & broadband and TV in one room, but keeping the Variety & HD in the other room.

Sure I read somewhere that HD now acts as a "pack" so does that mean I can get HD & Variety for £17.50 a month or will that be £16.50 (variety) & £10 for the HD?

Been trying to find this info on the Sky website, but not having a lot of luck so thought I would ask here is anyone is on this package.

Thanks

I have an HD and Sky+ box already and I'm thinking of adding a 2nd Sky+. I have a spare Sky+ box but other than the 2nd Multiroom sub how much is it likely to cost to fit?

Yes HD is a £10 pack and will give you the HD version of some of the simulcast sd versions you may not be paying for.

This doesn't obviously apply to movies or sports.

Beware switching off kids pack will get you beaten up!

Got that one too earlier this week, going to be a race to see if I get it before I go on holiday in May!

Down the dish along with everything else they send.

No answer to my extra-extra multiroom fitting question?

Got my "you can complete your order".
If I choose not to opt for multiroom but plan to use my old Sky box as a freeview box, does anyone know if I can do that and what else I will need?
Presumably having it connected to the dish? or just to the ariel? [rooftop ariel connection currently goes downstairs but past the bedroom I would want freeview in]
What about the card - for even some free channels to work it needs a card in the sky box doesn't it but this would be downstairs in the Sky+HD box??

Thanks for any insight.

Can anyone explain how the new EPG works? I've heard it uses both Transponders/inputs all the time, but I only have one connected due to being in a communal block of flats.

It's works fine for me at the moment, I have the channel I don't receive permanently recording any old channel which makes anything I have in my planner default to the channel that works. (if I want to record 2 channels at the same time I just use my Freeview PVR).

Will the new EPG cause me any problems in this respect?

I haven't got the new EPG on my Sky HD system.
Is there a way that I can force it to come down or is it getting rolled out gradually?

At the moment I have EPG software version 5.10.k HD
