My sky box must not like early mornings because it's working very well now.

The best thing about it?
For me it's not having that ridiculously depressing music when going into the TV guide/services/box office guide thing.

Actually I was sent a leaflet from Sky about a week ago explaining it all. Have you received one of these yet?

I got my pack in the post. (I'm a 3008) - although not the update yet.

Looking forward to having a decent search function at least.
Although, to be honest everything I've seen from the previews is still far from as good as TiVo - software which is now 10 years old. Mind boggles as to why they can't come up with something as functional this far down the line.

The music you could turn off with just a couple of button presses you mean?

Just just noticed a fairly fundamental flaw since receiving the update.

I can't record one channel and watch another.

I've checked status which shows both inputs as being strong.

Looks like a call to Sky tomorrow - pretty much the most frustrating phone calls I ever have to make.

Got my "black envelope" yesterday.

I haven't opened it yet though, so it may just be the usual death threats...

I had this problem with my non-updated HD box yesterday - did the off/on at the mains thing and it seems fine now...

I had the recording issue the other day as well, weird. Got the update for the planner anyway, it is much better than the old one. One issue though, is there any way to stop the blue button going to the last channel you watched and then going through your favourites? I don't really ever need to go to the last channel I watched, and it can slow down getting through my favourites sometimes.

Woke up this morning to find the new update on my box. No time to try it out before work, or show my parent's how to use it - so expecting lots of calls during today along the lines of

"How do I do this?"

Had mine a few days and it does take some getting used too. None more so than using the Chanel + & - buttons to skip pages at a time!

I have just encountered another problem.
I just watched 2 recorded programmes. Started the recorded footie then stopped it to get back into the planner to select a user-defined start and it won't play ANY of the recorded progs. I am just randomly recording something now to see if it will play something I haven't viewed but anyone able to shed any light please?

Update. Recorded something else and it played once then same thing. Same trick did not work twice. Unplugged it and now seems to be fine.
