Looking for freeware parental control software

as title really. Looking for parental control software which restricts the web sites you can visit, and also stops dodgy ads from being displayed on your browser

Not sure about ads but K9 is good. See thread from a week or so ago and the one about 6 months before that.

K9 Web Protect is free and works OK.

You could also look at OpenDNS with adult site filtering turned on.

Nothing is 100% though....
