I'd be worried about ordering from them though, personally. I've read some horror stories, and apparently they went out of business a while back (as Savastore), only to re-emerge soon after.

I ordered last night. Even though the website says "in stock" my order says "Awaiting stock". I need it here by Friday so paid the additional postage. Has anyone else noticed this?

May have to give them a ring later and find out what is happening.

Just given them all call. They assure me its an error on the stock checking in the order pane and the tv will be here tomorrow. I'll update everyone tomorrow if/when it arrives.

On a side note - they were very nice, polite and efficient on the phone. Around 5 minutes waiting on hold until i got through.

They used to be part of Watford Electronics in Luton, but recently bought out and rebranded.

Scrap my previous comments, they are still incompetent. Still "awaiting picking" - so much for delivery tomorrow. Guy on the phone was useless - "we can refund the postage" - not a lot of good when i paid more because i NEED it tomorrow

Fingers crossed it'll still make dispatch tonight but i doubt it. If it's still picking when i check tomorrow i'll be badgering them for Saturday delivery. Useless buggers.

No, like daveo said they're nothing to do with Misco, they used to be Watford Electronics and then closed down then came back again.

Simply was rebranded to Misco a few years ago, maybe this is what you're thinking of?

That's one urine-poor name for a company! (Tho' not as bad as Rapesco )

I would take a risk on saverstore, bought a couple of things with no issues.

Problem is I don't want a black TV! All the bargain TFT's are always black!

Anyone know of a silver 32" HD ready TV of similar quality and price as this?

Cheers

Used them last year for a cheap PDA, was in stock when ordered.
However magically went out of stock before mine was picked.
Then had to wait 3 weeks for more to come in.

Misco is part of the PC World group.

Savastore are ok. I got a projector of them and it came next day nice and quick.

Incidentally, a friend decided to partake of this offer. He ordered on Thursday morning and paid for next day delivery. Despite a call from Savastore later on Thursday morning to confirm his details, the item hasn't been despatched. In his order history it says "awaiting stock", despite the item showing as "in stock" on their site throughout.

I'm pretty sure they aren't, we've been dealing with for years at work. AFAIK they are part of the Systemax Group

Definitely part of Systemax group.

Bought a few things from them, always competitively priced for what I've bought.

I don't want to get into an argument, but what are you basing that on? I can't find any information that backs it up. Perhaps you're thinking of MicroWarehouse?
