Booo hisss, etc etc to Nov 10th!

I am due to be on the other side of the world that week, I'm not at all happy the Prem League managed that amazing coincidence

It should actually be quite interesting this season between SAFC and NUFC, big name managers still new to their clubs, bit of money to spend for both sides, etc. The question is: how far above Boro will we both finish?

Fixtures like that tend to be prevalent for most teams though. I guess they tend to use the same fixture list where possible after factoring in the promoted teams & cases where only X amount of London teams can be home at one time, Everton/Citeh away when L'pool/Man Utd are at home etc.... oh and the Ex-manager/player returns to former club in the opening game set-up.

That said there have been a few adjustments with tradition for us in next years fixtures: We end at home with Liverpool, rather than Bolton/Blackburn (they're still in the final month though) and get both Arsenal games out of the way prior to Xmas. We've got Boro in the last 5 games again, as we have for several seasons now.

One thing that I find highly suspicious is that every time Shef Wed play at home, West Ham are playing away - any chance Shef Utd and West Ham can be swapped still?

Stuff like Newcastle going to the Bolton on the first day ... 1/38 chance of happening but still very

Stuff like Newcastle's last home being against Chelsea 3 years out of 4 - just makes the list seem no where near as random as it is claimed to be. Liverpool, for example, have now started the season away from home 4 years in a row !!!

Someone on another forum has also pointed out that the 'random' fixture list has managed to generate two grandslam weekends, again, with Liverpool v Man U and Chelsea v Arsenal (and their reverse fixtures) being on the same day

Reminds me of when Big Ron walked out on SWFC and went to Villa. First game yup Villa at Hillsbrough. He copped it big time that day, but had the last laugh winning 3-2 after being 2 down .

Is that right? Hmmm

Personally I think that West Ham should have been relegated, an utter farce that they broke league rules regarding player registration, one of the players in question had a big impact on their season and yet they get a cursory fine - they should have been deducted points for every game either Tevez or Mascharano played in up to they point, they knowlingly broken the rules!

Anyways, don't think anything will come of it.
