I would stop making any references to the books before the spoiler police come in and kick some arse.

There's a new 10-minute behind-the-scenes video up at HBO.com:

This is looking really, really great. I'm very excited to see these characters come to life.

It does look spot-on perfect, and really close to what I always imagined when reading the books. Brilliant casting, especially for Ned, Arya and Littlefinger. The one thing which has caught me off-guard is that the pronounciation of names are not what I always thought them to be (I thought it was 'Cait-lin', not 'Cat-a-lin' and 'Dan-er-ees', not 'Dan-AIR-is').

I spent most of the first book oscillating between the two pronunciations for Catelyn, and ended up settling on the wrong one. Dany I just got wrong and stuck with it. (And Jaime, but apparently that's not uncommon in the real world either.)

Jamie? Jamie?!?!?!?!

**** off!

I will continue to pronounce in to rhyme with "blame" as that sounds much cooler.

Same here.
"Jamie". Pfft.

I always pronounced Jon Snow as "Qwarzabukl".

You peasants! It's always been pronounced 'Jamie'.

(Yeah, I knew a girl once called Jaime and hence I knew that in advance of reading the books.)

Ooooo, serious goosebumps from that new teaser. Nice to finally see the Iron Throne in the flesh, so to speak.

Nah, it's HBO so only 10 to 12 episodes per season. If it continues without getting cancelled we could potentially have 10 seasons or so, though, since some of the books would need to be split.

Hey, I can dream.

The more I watch that new teaser the more I like it, and it's been cleverly crafted to draw in viewers who might not normally consider the genre. I particularly like all the lines about death, specifically the whispered last one "I'll kill every bloody one of them until you and I are the only ones left in this world."

There's a giant Game of Thrones poster on the bus stop right outside my house. That's pretty cool
