Pete Doherty at only 28 and therefore only 1 point cooler than the bloke from The Killers... How can this be?

Are The View officially cool too?

The singer in my favourite band is cooler than the singer in your favourite band. Ridiculous.

Like anyone who still reads (or writes for) the NME even knows who Jarvis Cocker is ...

And like I said elsewhere ... why all the love for The Gossip after 5 albums?

Oh come on Lorne there is nothing cool about Tilly, I thought that was one of the reasons you liked them!

Surely NME considering someone cool immediately makes them uncool?

Well, cool to students - probably not to most other people.

Not even to students.

Anyone who thinks that NME have a say in such matters can carry on believing it as far as I am concerned, they're all *****. All the NME is these days is a shadow of what it used to be, burping what is left of the Melody Maker it so greedily gobbled up.

Their writers (especially Tim Jonze or whoever, who looks about 12 years old) only seem to be interested in making friends with the people they put in their articles and reviews when they should take on their phonetic name and become the 'enemy' (Almost Famous got it all right.)

Bugger them for making me want to slag them off. The really really sad thing is NME is about the only weekly thing going. They can **** off with their cool list.

Is this not a readers poll then? If it is then why is nme getting the slagging? This happens every year!

No ... it's editorial. There aren't enough lesbians to explain otherwise.
