looks wise, I have no problem with Jesse or Cassidy. Not sure why they had to go all diverse with Tulip though. How would that work in the Deep South?

Thinking about it, didn't Herr Starr not appear until the 2nd or 3rd book?

Really doesn't bother me when they change the race of a character usually, but you're spot on here.

I don't think making Tulip black and having her deal with racism in the Deep South will make any real difference to her part, surely? She's not a yokel like Jesse.

Cassidy on the otherhand looks completely different. I thought the whole point of his character is that he looks a bit worn-in and grubby, like he's travelled a bit too far and consumed a bit too much. He looks just as clean-cut and hunky as jesse, and the lack of sunglasses is a much bigger deal than Tulip's race imo.

Also, why haven't they made any reference to the supernatural elements of the story? I thought main characters having supernatural powers or fighting the supernatural was what sold viewers, not turned them off?

There is a very brief frame of Cassidy wearing sun glasses in there. It's very much blink and you'll miss it though.

Yeah. I would was curious as to why they're not showing anything supernatural. Maybe it's just the way it was cut.

The IMDB forums are quite amusing right now.

I thought they might have been scenes prior to
but I forgot just how old he is heh. So unless they're messing with his origin story or contacts as you say. I forget just exactly the deal with his eyes. Man, I really need to re read this. I've been meaning to for ages.

They probably dropped the constant sunglasses just because so much of acting is in the eyes.

Or it could be just that he can turn on the look when he wants. This happens a lot with them these days.

Starts 22nd May in the US. No word on a UK airing, but it'd be nice if AMC do another next day deal with Netflix as they did Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Well, it's cheaper than Sky/Virgin or a TV licence!

I would like to think most people have a tv licence, as there'd be no more Doctor Who otherwise!

And this is being shown in the UK on... BTs AMC channel.

I'm sure both people who can watch that channel will really enjoy it.
