I always thought Charlize Theron would make a good Tulip, looks wise at least.

Shes not shy on the nudity front either.

I always though that Edward Burns was the only bloke who could play Jesse.

Not a bad suggestion. She's not adverse to scruffing up for a role either. Arseface is tougher. Colin Farrell would be the likely suggestion but he's probably to famous.

Did HBO develop the Spawn cartoon? Preacher would work much better like that.

watch dark city, listen to his 'american' accent and then imagine rufus trying to pull off the texas accent.

I know nothing about Preacher - but I met 2 guys in a New York bar about 8 years ago and got talking to them. Asked them what they did for a living and they said that they wrote a comic book called The Preacher. I think one of them was the cartoonist and the other one made up the storyline. I think they were from London - nice guys.

Wow! ... I didn't realise it's been over TWO years since this was first announced. I assume the longer we hear nothing, the less chance that it'll happen.

I heard a rumour it was canned over some bickering about who owned the rights to it (something to do with that aborted version the Tank Girl director was attached to several years ago).
