[PS2] Ico (*re-release* preorder) £15.99

Ico is re-released to coincide with the release of Shadow of the Colossus! Out on 17th Feb...

RRP £20. Cheapest I've seen is :

PowerPlay Direct - £15.99

There were originally 2 packaging versions: cardboard 'Limited edition with art cards', or regular. This edition is described by PowerPlay, but no-one else (as far as I've seen) as 'Platinum'.

What is it? Where have you been? Have a look:

IGN
Gamespot
GameSpy

Thread on cheapest Shadow of the Colossus here.

Ico is a fantastic game, different to most PS2 fodder and certainly one that the other half might well be interested in.

Platinum basically means it's a re-release at a lower price point than it's original RRP.

They've also crucified the gorgeous artwork of the original PAL release, by making 1/2 of the cover silver (or 'platinum').

Still, it's a cheap way of buying a very beautiful game..

this game is tops - I foolishly sold it after completing it years ago and ended up buying it again via ebay - it's my favourite game on the PS2, beautiful and quite unique in many respects - I can't recommend this game highly enough if you haven't already got it/played it.

Ico - one of the best games I've ever played on any platform (an a bargain at this price). I just got suked in and couldnt let go until I'd finished it. I'll definitely be buying the sequel when it arrives!

Excellent, I've been meaning to get this on Ebay, but it's always around £30 on Ebay. Which is amazing for a game that's nearly 4 years old!

Cheers OP

The re-release is not a Platinum version. It is simply being re-released to coincide with the release of the sequel.
