I think you're going to have to supply a bit more information before you get some proper recommendations. Does it need to be compact? Do you need a long zoom? What other factors are important (i.e. define 'best')?

Quite a few cameras have 2.5"+ screens of variable quality - I think the biggest is on the ultra-compact CASIO EXILIM EX-Z57 which costs about £240 (2.7" screen, 5MP, 3 x optical zoom). Here's a review along with some samples so you can see if it suits your particular requirements.

Sony DSC-W5 has a 2.5" screen and good reviews. Costs around £230 give or take except PC World have it for just £215 at the mo and there is a code for 10% off digital cameras and free delivery (See Reestit Mutton's site), which can be combined with another code if you know one. You should be able to get it for about £184 delivered. Total bargain!

Something I want to add to what I said earlier.....is that buying a digitial camera is definitely a very personal thing. So if at all possible you should go out and physically handle the thing before you buy. This'll tell you if it 'feels' right for you i.e. isn't too heavy or bulky for your needs and so forth.
