Champions League - Prize Money, anyone know what it is

Hallo there

Does anyone know what the champions league prize money is, ie. for each round and winning the final etc.

Did a search, and couldnt find it.

Thanks

The way teams can bore their way to the final, it ought to be £2.50 for being in the final.

On Sky Sports just now it stated that Liverpool would get £11.9m if they win and lose £10.9m if they don't manage to win. AC are a little higher

So that means if we win we get 11.9m, and if we lose who do we have to give the 10.9m to?

What i think Sky mean is that if win the Cup you will get £11.9m, but if you lose the cup you will only get £1m, therfore losing £10.9m.

If that makes sence

I think there will be very little difference in prize money whether we win or lose.

No i think it meant if Liverpool win they get about £12M and even if they lose they get £11M. I believe AC Milan get a bit more regardless because they have a better record of games won during the whole tournament.

It wasnt that well worded on Sky Sports news.

So is that figure for just winning the final, or the total sum of money Liverpool have gotten out of the competition if they win?

I'd like to know what Liverpool have made for going through to the final.

Just saw the figures on SSN:

Liverpool Win £11.9m
Liverpool Lose £10.1m

AC Milan Win £12.1m
AC Milan Lose £10.3m

Those figures are complete winnings from every round including the final (so the difference between winning and losing tonight is £1.8m) and AC Milan get more as they did slightly better - I believe you get paid per point in the group stages. Both clubs will top £20m though when TV money is added.

To the very few elite european super clubs the CL trophy is worth anything between £30M-50M in total.

if "boring" football results in european cup finals...then im sure theres no need for teams to change their tactics!

the elite clubs you mention sell out their home games, like we do.. remember this is money for winning.. not gate reciepts or tv revenue...

Indeed so the actual value of the CL title is more than just the "small" prize money, the TV revenue is split much in favour of the top seeded teams.
