Unadulterated bad taste passing itself off as comedy. A rank programme and a blight on the schedule.

No, that award goes to Three Pints of Lager...; I quite enjoyed Nighty Night, pleased to see another helping is on the way.

EDIT - Two Pints please landlord...

So you liked it then?

Agreed

3 Pints of Lager is the worst thing to pass its self off as comedy in a long while. Its awful

Nighty Night was fantastic. Am i right in saying Steve Coogan was a co-writer?

I don't think he had anything to do with writing it, though I could be wrong. Made by his production company Baby Cow though.

Ah, yes. Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps probably just beats it.

There's a pint of lager too many in the previous posts!

I'm really pleased about this

The first time I watched the series it seemed like it had only enough content for one great episode which I felt was stretched to breaking point by the end of the run, through endless repetition and increasingly unbelievable plot machinations. Then I watched the whole thing again and what I'd found foul and repulsive and just plain insulting (even for my black comedy tastes) was now simply hilarious. The characters are rank, repugnant, comedy gold and I think it's great that shows like this are allowed to exist (and flourish) within our rigidly PC climate. Jill is a complete monster but some of her remarks and put-downs are priceless, the way she says "I don't like it, I really don't like it. You've ruined it now" (when being given a present!) being my favourite.

I'm finding the sheer quality of new comedy coming out of BBC3 to be pretty staggering. Looking forward to "The Smoking Room", starting tomorrow night.

I questioned that when I was posting, but I couldn't be bothered to look it up

Don't think so anytime soon... it's hard to tell with BBC3. They're already repeated it about 4 times, including a Nighty Night Night of all the episodes

I have to agree with that. I thought it was terrible.
