Jason and the Argonauts

Been wanting this for a while whats the best version to go for?

I notice that the r2 has extras how long do these run for?

Well according to Rewind here , it's either the R2 or R4 which are indentical, and this review should answer your other questions (wrong forum BTW - this should be in Region Comparisons).

As a child, I used to love this film and others featuring the animations of Harryhausen. Scenes such as the skeleton fights and the bronze giant statue (Achilles?) I think were much greater cinematic achievements of their time than most of todays CGI.

I agree. The skeleton fight is a classic!

(I believe the bronze giant is called Talos.)

Yeah he is - I have a statue of him on my TV Bloody love this film...

The R2 DVD is ok although, as you'd expect, the picture quality isn't great given the age of the film. The included Ray Harryhausen Cronicles documentary is fantastic though. Lasts for an hour and covers all his films. You also get a trailer.
