Top 10 Superhero Movies Based-on-comic books?

Well I am off to see Daredevil on Monday (would have seen it by now, but I don’t like packed cinemas), so I was thinking what are the best superhero movies based-on-comic books.

My Top 10:

1. Batman (1989)
2. Superman
3. Blade
4. Crow, The
5. Spider-Man
6. Batman Returns
7. X-Men
8. Superman II
9. Blade II
10. Mask, The

Worst I have seen:

Batman & Robin
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace
Supergirl
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III

what are yours?

1. Superman 2
2. Batman
3. Superman
4. The Crow
5. Blade
6. The Punisher
7. X-Men
8. Spiderman

WORST
Batman and Robin

Batman Returns - The Penguin annoys me so much for some reason

Toxic Avenger - how did some soft core porn rubbish become a kids cartoon? also wins a prize for the most annoying geek Ive ever seen in a film ... that was a guy you'd love to punch!

1 - Daredevil <---------- Awesome Film!!!!
2 - Blade
3 - Spiderman
4 - Batman
5 - Blade 2

Worst I've seen would probably be 'The Punisher' starring Dolph Lundgren. They should definately do a remake of the Punisher movie!!!

This will be easier at the end of the year because I can see Hulk and X2 making the top 10 based on the trailers.

But for now.

1)Batman
2)Superman 2
3)DareDevil
4)Spider-man
5)Blade
6)Superman
7)X-MEN
8)Batman Forever
9)Blade2
10)The Crow

NOTE:Superman I havent seen in a while so it only comes in at 6th.DareDevil may go down after repeat viewings.

I saw the Punisher ages ago. I don’t remember it being very good (not sure I even finished watching it). But I want to give it another go, anyone know if it’s out on DVD?

It was out R1 dvd, not sure of R2. I think it may be out of print.

Its crap though.

There is a new film in production some news here:

For the record Spider-man is my #1!

My wish list:

David Fincer directing Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in BATMAN

I've got to agree that Batman is the best. One of those films that merges a perfectly realised fantasy world with a cast on top form. I originally thought Keaton was a poor choice for the lead but he's vastly superior to Clooney and Kilmer. The first sequel was a good film, the third average and the fourth a travesty. Kinda invites parallels with the Alien series don't you think?

The Blade films are also fantastic, surely the coolest of all the superhero renditions and Snipes perfect for the role.

Spiderman and Superman 2 are fine films (wasn't keen on the first Superman film) though Xmen didn't live up to the high expectations (still a good movie ).

Some not mentioned are Mystery Men (ok), Fantastic Four (?) and Captain America (the pits).

I've got a strong feeling that Lees "Hulk" could well be a class contender but it is nice to see the care and attention being lavished on comic-book movies now. Long may it continue.

1:Spider-man
2:Superman
3:Superman 2
4:Batman Returns
5:X-Men
6:The Crow
7:Batman
8:Incredible Hulk (TV)
9arkman ( not based on anything but still )
10:Mystery Men.

I see Daredevil tomorrow so that could probably mess with my ratings a bit.

Honorable mention to Swamp Thing and the Corman Fantastic Four movie, because while they fail miserably they tried real hard and considering the budgets got pretty damn close to what it should be.

If you are including animé and manga in this then you are going to have a very different list as large proportion of animé films are based on manga.
