Surround Mini/micro systems?

Do such things exist anymore? Preferable with Bluetooth?

In the bedroom we have a LG TV on the wall with a budget sound bar.

We also have a defunct not too bad CD/cassette/tuner micro system, with Ok speakers on the wall. Can’t help thinking that a compact AV amp with the addition of a centre speaker could make use of those wall speakers and sound better than the sound bar.

Can’t find such a thing anywhere though! Any ideas?

Your requirements remind of my old Videologic Digitheatre which was a thing of pure joy and sounded great.

Like you say nowadays it's either a soundbar with pseudo surround or a compact AV amp setup.

There doesn't even appear to be such a thing as a compact AV amp anymore

The best you'll get from a proper AVR is the Marantz systems which are half-height but still the same footprint.

Plenty of decent surround/Atmos soundbars around at the moment but they are very limited in the HDMI and other inputs aspect.

Was there ever such a thing?

Logitech do surround systems along the same lines as the Videologic mentioned. The Ł250+ Z906 includes dolby and dts decoding, whereas the cheaper models don't.

That looks like a good option for anyone who's on a budget and has a small room.

I'd go for something like that before a soundbar. I've only heard a few Soundbars and I'm far from convinced about their surround capabilities.

As said, maybe more of a PC surround system than home theatre? (And just replace with your 2 speakers).
