Knight Rider and Miami Vice coming to Bluray.

Wonder if any remastering has happened for this.

Knight Rider had Japanese release already. Quality is decent and definitely an improvement over DVD.

Worth getting the import as will be around £60 delivered once you add shipping and VAT import deposit at Amazon. WoWHD is just above this price.

One caveat is they may well be RA locked which is standard practice by Mill Creek.

Much cheaper than the UK versions coming from Fabulous just before Christmas. In their interview on DVDCompare (Rewind) they say Knight Rider is £150 rrp with expected street price of £100 whilst Miami Vice will be even more as is 1 more season so needs more disks.

The UK version of one of the Miami Vice Season 1 episodes will be slightly cut to not show the cock fight. Also the last UK DVD release had the two part syndicated pilot missing a few extended scenes. Hopefully it at least has the complete pilot in one 90 minute episode.

Elephant Films are releasing this in France December 2018, given that its ages since the last release what are the chances that this has been remastered properly this time?

Are Elephant Films any good?

There is no new master from Universal they only produced one.

However they need to

1. Ask for the network double length versions of selected episodes not the syndicated two parters.

2. Ensure they get the corrected audio files for selected episodes of Miami Vice.

3. When they encode Miami Vice themselves get the black levels right. Mill Creek got this right but Fabulous Films screwed up.
