Happy Endings *US pace*

I was sceptical about this show but gave it a go and it's actually fairly cute-amusing and in it's 7 episodes to date has had some genuinely laugh out loud moments.
It's basically 'Friends in Chicago' but now Chandler's black, Joey's gay, Chandler and Monica are already married and Rachel left Ross at the alter! That's the starting off point.
Elisha Cuthbert is pretty good at comedy (my fav line of her's so far: "I DVR'd that new weight loss show for clairvoyants, 'Large Mediums'.") and the rest of the cast is fine too. I think it has some potential in the sea of similar shows, it's certainly better than Mad Love and Better with You.

yes, very impressed with this new show. eliza cuthbert is quite possible the most adorable thing alive no laugh track and it feels very fresh and almost film like. daman waynes jnr is a dead ringer for his dad.

To be honest it looked awful from the trailers. I take it the show is actually a bit better?

If you're into this 'couples' comedy stuff then you should definitely check out Traffic Light as well.

Watched the pilot for Traffic Light but I thought it was awful, though that may be because I think the bloke from the BT ads is a dreadful actor.

Cheers, will take a look. The trailer was a bit of information overload but looks interesting enough to check out.

It's got 'er from Scrubs in it too!

Loving this after the first 3 episodes. Far better than Mad Love.

Gay guy is very good and Eliza is fantastic. Loved the 24 in joke.

I was just gonna post the same thing! The reference to the Cougar made me laugh!

Also, it helps that Elisha is drop dead gorgeous

have they mentioned that the two blonds are sisters before, as it was mentioned last night and i didn't think they were related. unless she meant sistas not sisters?

EDIT: apparently abc are airing these way out of order as last nights double-bill was actually #102 and #103, which makes a lot more sense.

Yeah it's really annoying when they show episodes out of order. We had Dave moving in with Max even though they've been living in the same flat for 8 episodes already!
Plus it shows how a show and cast evolve quickly as these earlier eps just aren't as good as what comes next and not everything has clicked yet.

Watched the first 5 episodes tonight after seeing this thread. I'm really enjoying it, and I think i'm developing a crush on Penny.

Wayans Jr looks so much like his dad it's remarkable. They could be twins.

Really liking this definitely better than Mad Love.

Why on earth are they showing these out of order. I feel I have to wait now and gather them up and watch them properly.

I watched the first two of this and it was ok. May just keep watching for a bit for Elisha. All the characters were fine apart from the gay one. Terrible actor.

Is it really that good? The trailer at the top makes it look awful!

Best comedy since modern family for me, great that it's got a second season.

We're loving it. It's not in the same league as P&R or Community, but it's not too far from Modern Family.

Watching ep 8 right now
