Eurovision 2018

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/lat...name=corporate

Six acts and songs revealed for Eurovision: You Decide 2018

Remember one of these acts will be coming last in Eurovision 2018, how exciting

Jaz Ellington - You would get my vote as he seems like he can actually sing, although how well he sings live is another matter

Will watch them all tonight, I love the contest.

We don't always come last, but I'll admit we've not had a winning song in a while. The problem seems to be that we need to come up with a decent song, as opposed to blaming Brexit, or the Iraq War, or former Easter Bloc nations conspiring against us.

Truth is last time we had a song worthy of winning we won. When we've had a genuinely decent song we've done well (Gina G).

We just don't seem to know what Europe wants in a song.

This Years Thread is up early. I created the Eurovision 2017 thread just as the 1st Semi-Final was starting.

Apart from hearing the UK Song then I dont listen to any of the others until Semi-Finals Night so go straight in on a 1st listen.

EDIT: I see this has been created in the Music Thread. Previous Years were always in the Tv Forum. So Im sure it will again when it hits "That Week"

Asanda - Thought it started well and was hoping it was building to a really catchy chorus, but sadly not.
Goldstone - Pretty good, but can't see it winning.
Jaz - Nice song, but bit of a bland ballad
Liam - Memorable chorus, bit of good theming on the night might do OK
Raya - OK pop song
Surie - Started well, went into bland pop song

None of the songs are awful, I could see why any might be picked. I just don't see any winning, I've no massive desire to hear any of them again.

There's something naggingly familiar about it, whilst still being utterly anonymous.

It's like a Kate Nash/Mumford and Sons hybrid.

This being in the Music Forum wont help with Posts.. It should be in the TV or General Thread..
For people on desktops I dont think it will be easy to find..

Norway- If Id won it with the Highest points ever in 2009 then I dont think I would have come back...

So far Bulgaria for the Win. Cyprus is a good contender and possible winner..

Something about the fascist UK media I think.

Nobody seems to be saying what happens with the UK now, potentially she gets to sing again at the end.

Not sure if it was the intention, but the UK entry was the most memorable
