Don't mind the characters. But everyone who was in the original is dead unless they put Chewie and the droids front and centre. But in TLJ they advanced the story 2 hours and destroyed the rebels where I don't see how they finish it off in 2 hours.

I'd speculate the final part of the trilogy becomes three films, because people go and see those.

As for the rest of their plans, I'd guess there is enough love of the originals to make the Disney rides a success, the rest will get binned off.

We've not had any further film announcements of late, so maybe they're rethinking.

Think we were up to about 12 further films

It's a shame as Solo was a good film which I enjoyed a lot.

I can't agree with that at all. She's had to face massive personal crisis, and all her scenes regarding Kylo Ren have been about her struggling to choose about what she wants. She's clearly sorely tempted to join with him at during TLJ.

All your complaints about her being an expert can be levelled at Anakin and Luke in exactly the same way. Anakin was a genius mechanic and pilot by the time we met him. Luke similarly had incredibly flying skills. It's because they were naturally talented in the Force and get help from it, and the same is true for Rey.

Similarly, we know that Rey grew up doing all these mechanical jobs and getting experience working for Unkar Plutt. We see her piloting her floaty thing, there's a fair assumption she's learned to fly a long time ago and got good at it.

But then Finn asks her how she's able to fly the Falcon to which she replies "I don't know!".

Well thanks to Solo the spinoffs are on hold. I was looking forward to an Obi Wan movie. All focus goes into Ep. IX so no excuses for this one turning out crap then.

I'm guessing you've all seen the nerds on Twitter who claim they have producers who have the funding for them to remake the last Jedi.

(I watched The Last Jedi again last week. Not perfect but still the best SW flic since Empire.)

Gonna be a little difficult to do now that Hamill wants nothing more to do with it and a certain Ms Fisher is not around any more.

But If they have the money why saddle yourself with remaking TLJ. Start again from Ep. 7 and give Snoke the role he deserves, Have Kylo Ren as a new character no relation to Han Solo, don't bother have the original cast back. Recast Rey, Hux etc

Spaceranger here, proving that fans writing star wars is the worst idea ever.

You're right about that. Rian Johnson was a 'lifelong Star Wars fan'.

And a talent film maker who understood that for Star wars to go forward you have to get rid of everybody being the second aunt of a Skywalker.

I don't think he understood at all how to go forwards with the franchise. While TFA was a retread of ep4, it was far better TLJ

Now they are saying that they are sticking with established directors. How many movies do you have to have under your belt to be considered established 2,4, 10? Was Ron Howard not an established director? it didn't turn out to well for him either.
