Graviton is probably the worst thing to happen to the series IMO. Didn't anyone on the production team think "hmm, this sucks in a bad 1980s superhero movie way" at all?

Well, after a few dodgy episodes, a really good finale I thought.

Not sure how I feel about a 6th season now, that was designed to serve as an end and now they may have to do that all over again.

Had to actually go and do some reading as the end did leave me a little confused.

Yeah that seemed like a fitting end to me. The punch was great.

That felt like a series finale to me.

This needs to end here and now. Coming back in 2019 when the infinity war will be all sorted is another smack in the face for everyone expecting this to tie in with the movies. Apart from Hydra it never really did and in many ways avoided the movies all together "You hear about whats happening in New York?" and a few other throwaway lines is all we got this season. The movies certainly did not give a stuff about what happened in the show. Were the Inhumans mentioned? and all that crap about the Terrigenesis, you'd think the Avengers or at least Tony Stark would have has something to help clean it up.

Now how about a series about S.W.O.R.D. set apart from the movies?

I don't really get the complaints about not enough movie tie-ins. It seems a bit bizarre to me. The series was easily strong enough to stand on its own two feet without them. Constant references to the movies would just have been them acknowledging that it wasn't good enough without the MCU.

Sure the first couple of seasons were a chore at times to get past, but after that it was great. No need at all for cameos or other crap to clutter things up. It would have just distracted from the stories they wanted to tell.

The odd throw away line regarding an avenger or the movie plots is all that was needed and that's what we got.

Nah guilty implies that it's **** and that you know it's ****, but you enjoy it anyway. For whatever reason.

But its far far from being anywhere near that bad, sure like you say its not exactly Game of Thrones, but last season especially was fantastic, considering the kind of light entertainment that it is.

In fact I thought the second half of last season was quite harrowing and surprisingly well acted at times.

I feel no guilt at all for thoroughly enjoying it.

Definitely felt like a series finale rather than season finale.

Regarding season six...

I can't see all the cast keeping their calendars clear for a year awaiting call up for season 6. They are bound to get stuck in other projects.

Renewed for season 7.

I'm Surprised, but I'm certainly not complaining.

6 and 7 will be 13 episode runs.

No complaints here either. I'll happily keep watching if the quality of the show remains on par with the previous season.

I can only assume that Disney want them to keep pumping it out so they have more content for their upcoming streaming service, as it certainly isn't surviving due to its ratings!
