Tenet - Christopher Nolan's latest - John David Washington, Robert Pattinson

First trailer:

Absolutely no idea what's going on there, but it's Nolan, so I'm in.

I thought the same when I watched it last night. No clue what it's about, but I'm intrigued.

The trailer was......different, as can be expected from Nolan. At a rough guess, probably some sort of CIA Black Ops with an element of Inception-like psychedelic element added. Should be interesting at the very least.

Hasn’t this been delayed yet ?

I wouldn’t have thought you would have wide scale cinema reopening in most major markets by July. Surely better to hold back until later in year or 2021.

Nolan is fanatical about big screen releases particularly IMAX for his films.

The second trailer looked a bit more conventional.......well for Nolan that is. Interesting.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the hero looks a bit like a young Viv Richards? I don't suppose he is Viv's son or something?

Up until this trailer, Warners have been quite consistent on the July release. This is the first bit of advertising that has no date, so I imagine it will be delayed.

The 'Coming to Theaters' at the end of the trailer seems like a clear statement that it won't be going straight to streaming like some other studio releases.

As you say, Nolan loves his big screen, & he's probably got enough clout to dictate how his movies get released.

The cricketer? Yep, the facial hair's very similar. But no, he's Denzel Washington's son.

If you think that jumbo jet crash looks very realistic in the trailer... that's because it is!

I planned to do it using miniatures and set-piece builds and a combination of visual effects and all the rest. We started to run the numbers... It became apparent that it would actually be more efficient to buy a real plane of the real size, and perform this sequence for real in camera, rather than build miniatures or go the CG route.
