Terminator 6

I accidentally came across this new film directed by Tim Miller and to be released next year. Reportedly, it is a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day and ignores the events in the next 3 films. Should be interesting.

James Cameron has come up with the plot for this one. Arnies back as is Lynda Hamilton.

Currently it's called Terminator:Phoenix.

But at this point does any one care anymore? See also Aliens.

Yes, but that's just about the only thing good about it. Actually, I quite liked T4 Salvation but the next film was crap.

But going by the plot itself, things did start to go pear-shaped after T2:JD. T5 was a confused mess and by going back to end of T2:JD, I hope they bring some sort of continued flow to the storyline.

will be very surprised if its going to be even half decent. The films get worse each time they make a new one, genisys was a very low point

You could be right but there is one possible saving grace - the are rebooting the story arc and starting it from the events at the end of T2:JD. In that, you may recall that Arnie's T800 character and John Connor destroy the original Terminator's severed arm and the computer chip that went with it. But they seemed to have overlooked the fact that part of the the returning T800's own arm was caught in that machine. That may be the trigger point for this new film.

The CGI effects belong on a old Video Toaster rig...

As trailers go, it failed to make me interested in seeing the final film.

Netflix could probably afford to do the effects work properly and not like a Sci Fi Channel knock off...

Yeh a NowTV watch for me, can't believe this is the 6th one. At least American Pie had the good grace to go straight to video

I was lukewarm on the trailer until Linda Hamilton appeared. Other than her, it seems to have a very bland cast. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

The Terminator guy looks completely unconvincing. Like they've dragged some poor kid out of college.

Its Ghost Rider from Agents Of Shield what can you expect.

Terminator models looks like what we have seen before

TX-John Conner type bad guy
Probably a similar type to Sam Worthington's Terminator - More organic and thinks its a human for the good guy

Not getting any good vibes from the bad guy like Robert Patrick or Miss Loken.

This has the smell of a reboot/but say its not and tie a little to the other films cos its not good enough to pull in the numbers otherwise.

Why not do an alternate Terminator and just reverse all the character genders and start again that always works

Sarah Connor become Sam Connor Vietnam Vet with PTSD
John Connor becomes Josephine Connor is his only child
Kyle Reese becomes Kylie Reese
Female Terminator

Set it in the late 60-70s so we can limit the technology we have to fight it
Perhaps have a terminator go back and try to kill Sam in Vietnam but it gets dusted in all the war going on (That would be my opening massive battle you think its the future - see a lone terminator running across the battlefield metal parts showing chasing Sam Connor pull back revealing the battlefield is actually in the Vietnam war.

End with our female terminator damaged chips in head exposed slightly; watches as another Terminator (male) appear to complete the mission. I'd tie in to what Arnie said in T3 when asked if he cared what happened to Claire Danes and fella - to which he replies that he would have no purpose. Seeing that the other terminator is going to complete her mission and as a result she would have no purpose; decides to fight him.

She wins; little Josephine Conner is separated from Reese and Dad and seeing how helpless the child is; as it reaches out to her for help. The terminator decides to rip out the damaged chip and able to think for herself decides to rescue the child instead

Queue uproar from feminists about its more than a woman's role than just having babies. Buts it a nice ending reminiscent of T2. Terminator becomes more human.

Choice for actors absolutely no-one that has been in game of thrones ever

Job done
