Unable to book tickets last night to see a film on wednesday got all the usual problems listed above.

Waited until today and still having the same problems.

As much as I love Limitless this is a joke

Was having trouble booking the seat I wanted yesterday - due to not leaving a spare seat - and found the solution ... multiple browser sessions with partially completed bookings

I spotted something today, the first showing of the day for Predator (I KNOW, BUT IT WAS FREE!!!). around 15 seats were booked already when we looked yesterday evening. yet only 5 of us in the cinema. Do they track who books and doesn't turn up? is there any penalty for it?

We always sit in the premiere seats if they're free. Nobody checks, nobody cares.

same with cineworld unlimited early screenings, usually most seats are booked but loads empty on the day.

With it just being announced that tickets at the revamped Odeon Leicester Square costing from £25 up to £40 might be the ideal time to get a Limitless card

Did anyone else get an email last week saying Odeon would be screening Godzilla from Friday ( just gone ) only to click on the link to see they clearly aren't ( at least not at my local Odeon ) ?

It opens this Wednesday. Rather than the Friday so that's were the confusion might come from.

(Still no reviews though)

I got an email stating that as well, and couldnt find any showings before Wednesday.

Theyve been fairly hopeless recently, they had paid Rocketman previews on the previous monday, which I couldnt use my limitless card on for some reason. Then they pulled the showings. Then days later they replaced them with limitless showings.

My showing of RocketMan was supposed to be a Limitless exclusive (last Monday) but had all sorts of non-Limitless people with other vouchers at it.

Bemused to notice during the trailers that theyve edited out 'Go on your own' in the limitless ad.

Less amused theyve put the prices up for the premiere seats for limitless

Nothing really, I just thought it was an odd thing to edit out. It throws the music out too.

40p, to £2 a time. Which when I factor in I go about 60-70 times a year, on top of the £240 a year for membership is starting to add up.

We just sit in the premiere seats anyway when we go (unless it's a packed showing), because there are always empty ones.

I always thought it odd it never said “go with your partner”.
We mostly go to the luxe cinemas near us, rather than pay any upgrade for the premier seats.
I have notes in most of the screens at the local cinema as to where was good to sit now!

Out of interest ... what do we think the average Odeon ticket price is?

I ask because down where I am you are lucky to get even a Standard seat for less than £12/13 so a Limitless card makes sense to even a casual goer. But when in Liverpool yesterday, I noticed that the city centre Odeon was advertising £6 tickets. So that is roughly 3 times as many trips needed a month to make the same card worthwhile

It’s £12-14 (depending on time of day) where I live and seems to be the same across all of Essex. So seeing two films a month makes it worthwhile.

I don’t always get to see two films a month, but some months I might go five or six times. In that way, it’s still worth it.

There were a whole two months where the only film I saw was a showing of Top Gun. So, yeah, you could say I paid £36 to see a film that you can get on blu-ray for a fiver. But, even so, it’s still worthwhile when you look at the whole year.
