I'm probably not going to buy it on Blu-ray (as I don't have any means of playing it!) but having seen the film at the IMAX last week, I was very impressed by the larger images in certain scenes and can see what they're trying to do.

Of course, would come nowhere near the IMAX experience at home but I'd have to fall into the 'not a bad idea' camp re: the Blu-ray.

Hell of a price on Amazon. And number 5 in the full DVD chart!

Yeah, I've already cancelled my HMV order and gone with Amazon. You have to pay delivery but at least you're far more likely to get it on release day.

Can't see that price not going up so I've got in now. Gotta love Amazon Prime as well so it's the cheapest release date BR I've ever bought

Don't be fooled by their bundles. They just lump the two prices together and I don't think you save any more money.

But browsing through their upcoming BRs and I'm liking the fact that prices have started to decrease (finally) such as Iron Man being 15.98 and Hancock the same

Oh yeah.. £30.96 for both is exactly the same price as buying them on their own.

From past studio releases, is it more likely to be Region B or All Regions?

Seems the same price [£14.99] at all the big players now...

Who would be best using the free delivery option then?

Indeed. A quandry. That said I reckon this one will be minimum profit and a loss leader for the technology. I don't reckon it will go up.

Sainsburys generally has most BR around 20 quid (like 19.97) even for new releases which works out well for me as I get 10% discount (cos I work there) so if it's instant gratification I want, then it works out well. Asda used to be around 17/18 quid but I haven't checked in there recently.

One thing about Amazon is that they use their preferred merchant (Indigo Starfish) a LOT for pre orders. Means that they may get dispatched on the Saturday before but you might not get it until Tues/Weds

Looking good, but shame no commentary (or DTS-MA).

What are "Focus Points"? Is this just another name for PiP or branching featurettes?

a "focus points" version of the film containing behind-the-scenes vignettes with director Christopher Nolan and his team discussing the planning of the film, the use of IMAX photography, the stunts, and more.
