deleting history from the address bar in firefox?

i dont remember it doing it in the old firefox but even after ive cleared the history, if i type in "the" it will list all the dvd forums pages that have been looked at.

This is a shared computer so i dont want anyone seeing my early morning donkey fetish

Anyone help me again?

i know how to delete them one by one but is there not a way to stop firefox remembering them all together?

Thanks statto.

I presumed the OP was using the windows version. The linux version has prefs under Edit, whereas the windows version always used to have it under Tools. So I take it the windows version is now set up the same as the linux version?
