Scorsese has been working on the British film for years - round about 2003-4, I was constantly trying to book out prints of British features from the BFI National Archive only to find they'd been shipped to New York. But at least that suggests that it's not going to be a rush job!

Incidentally, Werner Herzog's "very intermittent" feature output over the last ten years is in fact identical to Scorsese's: five fiction features apiece. I suspect it only seems intermittent because his documentary output has generally been more celebrated, and is certainly more extensive.
