Hong Kong Legends have aquired the rights to 'A Chinese Ghost Story" 1, 2 & 3. The release dates are some way off (probably not in 2002), but they will be the definitive versions .

The sequel is practically a re-make of the first, but it's very good & if you loved the first, you should at least like Pt 2. I haven't seen the third.

Tsui Hark produced an animated "A Chinese Ghost Story" in the mid-90s which has found its way onto R1 DVD. It's a mix of computer generated and traditional hand-drawn animation. The CG animation is a little clunky and does not blend seamlessly (to put it mildly) but it's still hugely enjoyable.

WWWWOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!

i didnt know this !

this was one of my earliest memories for HK films, used to love it as a kid. Since then i cant find the old vid, i have a VCD in mandirin and no subtitles.

Can anyone Rip it for me from the HK DVD ?

i also have 2 & 3 on VCD, cant remember if i watched it all the way thru but i seemed a little cheesy. The 1st is a classic though.
