Comics - Where to get them?

I haven't bought a comic for years, but now I just fancy one.

Is there an online source of choice for all comic like needs?

Thanks

Must give comix-shop a try.

From across the pond I can heartily recommend Daves comics in Canada - very friendly bloke with decent prices & excellent packing. MileHigh in US are pretty good too - their regular prices on back issues can be a tad high - but frequent sales (almost as regular as DFS ) knock the prices down significantly.

id definitely give to http://www.avaloncomics.co.uk - Bruce, who seems to be the head dude over there has never let me down when it came to tracking down a book, and their prices are such that its cheaper to get the new weeks releases delivered to me from avalon than it is to buy them down the road at forbidden planet http://www.comicsnstuff.co.uk are also well worth a look - its a shame that most comic sites dont have more professional sites, because the businesses behind them are so well run, at least from the point of view of customer service...

You also might want to try www.epicheroes.com.

Although their website is due for a major makeover, the service they have provided for me has always been excellent.

Great customer service and postage is free on all new comics if you buy more than 4.

Forget about the rest and try www.acecomics.net. Longest serving and biggest comic retailer in Europe I believe and they have their own column in Comics Intenational.

Thanks JamesW.

There's a lot to choose from now. All I've got to do now is find a title that grabs me. I'll have to dig through my back issues of SFX for reference.

Perhaps you guys know of a few good sites which review comics and in particular graphic novels and collectors editions ?

I currently collect all the Batman and related titles and have done for past 15 years or so but I am a fan of all comics and characters but only get them in collected editions.

My local store is very good but I was wanting to order a stack off Amazon or something ( due to cheaper prices ) but would like some good reviews ( espescially ones with artwork pics )

not graphic novel related, but http://www.thefourthrail.com review a selection of each weeks new books in advance of their release - theyre good in my experience for bringing my attention to a comic I might otherwise have ignored
