Region 2 Apocalypse Now Full Dossier DVD

I recently got the Region 2 Apocalypse Now Full Dossier DVD that came out about a month ago in the UK. I know I am being very picky, but has anyone else who got THIS particular edition notice a little problem: between 1 hr to 1hr and 15minutes in the theatrical cut, Capt. Willard is telling the Chief about the mission, that they are going to Cambodia. When Willard says "when we get there, I'll cut you and your crew loose", there is a little skip that occurs, and it ends up sounding like "I'll cut you and your crew loo-", and you cannot hear the last bit of the word. In the older editions, I you can hear the full word. I now this is a very little problem, but if anyone else notices this, please please tell me ASAP. Thanks guys.

Maybe it skips because of a layer change on the disc.

Thanks for your reply. I thought of that as a layer change, but before this one, there is another slight pause about 55mins into the film, which I thnk is the layer change. The problem I described was more like a slight momentary speeding up and loss of a fraction of dialogue. If you have this disc, please check it out on your player; or anyone else if they have this UK edition. check it out. Thanks.

P.S Splobber/Administrator, Sorry about cross posting- I put my message first on Modern Films on DVD, but then realised I should have put it here. One question, can I post different messages on different sections?

That skip doesn't occur on the R1 version.

You can post where you want as long it's relevant to the forum and isn't direct duplicate content.

I reckon it either a layer change or the branching, as both cuts of the film are on the one dvd, ala Robocop.

I'm a sucker for steelbooks. Even though I've got the R1 'Complete Dossier', I think I'll get the R2 'cos it looks so damn fine.
