Watching this on my Sony 32" CRT, the picture is not too bad considering a lot of it was shot in 16 mill, don't think it would look good on an LCD or Plasma, though. As far as I can make out, there are no cuts. This really should have been on the complete dossier, maybe then we wouldn't have got the worthless "Coda" documentary foisted on us. It was just incredible how long Coppola was working on this movie, starting shooting in April 76 and releasing it in Dec 79, with Cimino (not exactly a sprinter) able to shoot Deer Hunter a year later and release it a year before Apocalypse Now opened.

Even though I preordered is delayed until 26/11 or that's what they claim (not shipped as at now). Same with this months Criterions from them.
Hope they are not going back to old bad habits of making up random dates, unless they really do expect a big shipment of R1 new releases tomorrow.

Is this in short supply / demand was underestimated.
CD-Wow still not shipped my pre-order but looking around many places say its on back order.

They like most places are sold out and on back order. Checked earlier today as CD-Wow still not sent mine.

Got mine from Axel today. It does look pretty crappy, but if Zoetrope have simply recycled their ancient composite master then we can expect nothing better.
