Quality of books improving in Poundland?

Went in Poundland this morning and there were some real bargains in there:

Hardback copies of The Blair Years by Alistair Campbell stuck out particularly, but there was also a decent selection by quality authors, certainly a better standard than their usual fair of Z-listers ghost-written autobiographies and books saved from the pulpers.

I think it's pure luck / timing and what they've picked up from their suppliers / bankrupt stock.

Had a few good books from them.

But it's also it's only a quid factor. I'm sure Milton Keynes used to have a quid book shop or a cheap one with a quid section that always added temptation and the joy of lugging them all back the mile walk to the office!
