Mmm. If you're not 'into' the hosts, are the real people *that* much more interesting?

In terms of sheer spectacle, I thought this weeks change of scene was great.
Maeve was excellent, although I'm not sure about the new ability. It was a nice contrast despite the rhymes of Delores, I hope we find out what the big plan is soon.

I love how they used Ramin Djawadi's 7 nation Army the other week and Paint it Black this week.

WHERE.
IS.
THIS.
GOING?

It's moderately entertaining watch but becoming more and more a mess of nonsense storytelling and pretentious dialogue. Maybe the return of Mr. Hopkins will reignite the season 1 quality.

And surprise, surprise, we are introduced to another human character in charge who happens to be a complete **** that has to insult someone with every sentence.

What on earth happened to Thandie Newton's powers as well. One minute she's all powerful the next she doesn't seem to have them!

Fantastic episode this week. Was more like a season finale with so much action & actual ANSWERS!!!

For a show that is accused of having no-one you care for, I lost count the number of times this week that I was thinking, "Nooooo! you can't kill him/her!!!"

Hmm, no, didn't work for me. I don't think it's even attempting to tell a coherent story anymore, and the endless action scenes were shot in a very confusing way (I honestly didn't know who was on which side). As the episode began I was so thrown off by the weird editing that I almost thought we were actually seeing one single timeline instead of multiple ones (and that was the season's twist) given the numerous copies of Bernard. But, no.

It does also beg the question of how the hosts/army guys/employees know who to shoot at. How do they all tell the difference between each other?

Dolores has become the worst part of this now. They've gutted an otherwise interesting character.
And what were the answers you took from this one? Nothing new that I could interpret.

I think the Akecheta episode just redeemed the entire season. Phenomenally good. Plus, clear explanations for a lot of things that have been bugging me since the first episode of season 1.

Finished season 2 now, and I will say that the final three episodes went some way towards redeeming what was something of a mess. I think even looking back on season 1 now, there were problems in the storytelling. Season 2 had the difficult job of picking up on everything from there and moving in this new direction.

And I quite like that this is nothing like season 1, I do honestly like to be surprised by my entertainment. It's just a shame that the show insists on such pretentious and roundabout methods of delivering the story. The writing is both atrocious and deeply emotional.

It's probably the most ambitious thing on TV but it overreaches in an attempt to prevent the audience from guessing the next secret. And to be honest, as the finale ended (with that after credits scene that left me bemused), I have NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON.

But I want to see more.
Ugh.
**** this show.

Flashbacks and similar timey-wimey stuff are the ******* bane. Given WW is - on the face of it - what it means to be human AND the nature of storytelling (and how we tell our own stories) surely that's enough. You could play that pretty straight and still get the philosophical stuff over without looking to break narrative clarity like some kind of coked up second year English lit student.

I really enjoyed Season 2, and would have been happy if they ended the series there. Whilst there are a few unanswered questions, I don't feel that things need to be made any clearer. Looking forward to Season 3.

At one point towards the end it felt like a good place to leave it and then they had to shake it up a little

I would say S2 overall was pretty weak compared to the first one. As others have said, it spent too much time meandering and not progressing much of the plot. Still the show looks amazing with its production values, and I don't think I spotted any obvious CGI or green screen which seems to be a criteria for me these days.

Certainly didn't live up to the sublime first series which was as good as television gets these days but S2 remains miles ahead of most TV-shows out there right now. I've watched the finale twice now & it was much better the second time, now that I understand everything (except for that mind **** of a post-credit scene!)...

For all the problems I have with the writing and storytelling, I have to say that there were times during the finale that I had to stop and remind myself that I was watching a TV show. The production values are insanely good.
