Really enjoyable US pace episode this week.

Has this had the green light for another season yet?

I suppose it helps having Brannon Braga executive producing (and he co-wrote episode 8).

Brannon Braga was part of the reason ST died for a while, they just milked the old formula but him and Seth are doing excellent job with The Orville.

Just watched the 2nd part of the 2 parter (UK pace) and its was great. Sometimes the 2nd part is let down but no worries this time. It was a pain to dodge spoilers, with **** putting thumbnail screenshots on youtube and prats dropping minor spoilers (I knew about the krill thanks to arsehats)

Incredibly no, not yet but it has to come. The state of California awarded the show $14million in tax breaks to film the next season, months ago.

Egotasticfuntime has been trying to get #renewtheorville trending and I think he’s succeeding

Watched part 2 last night - epic stuff. Think the last time I saw something that enjoyable on the tv was back Way of the Warrior. Those ships really took a pounding.

Hehe - might watch that last bit again

I really enjoyed the 2-parter, but I do have to admit to feeling a little bit let down by the conclusion. It all felt a bit too predictable to the point where it was almost like joining-the-dots, and dare I say it there was even a sense of hitting the reset button with the way things all wrapped up.

Self-contained episodic storytelling is not something I miss from the '90s, but I think The Orville gets it right for the most part by letting their characters grow across episodes. This one veered a bit too much in the wrong direction for me, and having Isaac back on the bridge to resume his duties is beyond insane, but it's all a fun ride.

Needs more Malloy stories now!

That seemed to borrow a lot from Past Prologue. Still a good episode though.

Just watched the two 'Identity' episodes. I found them fabuolously entertaining even though Isac
was a cliche. I forgive most of the previous episodes being quite dull (for me).

Its a good show and seems to be popular, can certainly see it running for a few years. You wonder if Seth will lose interest though

Episode 10: definitely a case of "seen it all before", but I do enjoy stories based around Malloy.

The story has been done before probably in TNG but its well done, thats the difference for me anyway. The scene with Malloy confessing to Talla was great, normally he is just pop culture reference but not here

Quite enjoyed the two parter for its general epicness. Would be nice to see a few more laughs though, the crew seems to now be the goto team for any problems in the galaxy.

Looks like there's no UK episode this week, otherwise we would overtake the American broadcast.
