Linkin Park's Chester Bennington Dead

Apparently he's committed suicide at the age of 41.

I have to admit, their debut album is one of my all-time favourites and it's a band I've always enjoyed listening to over the years, although those first couple of albums were never bettered.

RIP.

I knew he had his problems but still a shock especially considering he would have seen the heartache of Chris Cornell's family after his recent suicide. He was the even the godfather to one of Chris's children.

Very sad indeed

Shocking. And such a waste of person let alone talent. You gotta feel awful for his family.

Like a lot of people their first albums rank among my all time favourites and it doesnt even feel all that long ago his voice was filling the airwaves with their earlier stuff.

Awful.

Yeah, leaves six kids behind. Can't comprehend it and its really got to me, not entirely sure why. Maybe its the age, maybe it's because he's so close to my age or maybe it's because those first albums have been part of my life for such a long time. Hybrid Theory was 17 years ago now and I've listened to it so many times over each and every one of those years since, often when the going was getting tough, or even when out enjoying the hills.

Really shocked. What a waste and his poor family.

Tragic news, so sad.

Echo the views about Hybrid Theory, and also love the stuff they did with JayZ.

RIP

All very sad, I was also a fan of Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Something about singers with depression that elevates them to greatness, but its a very high price to pay.
