Not sure it really matters, loads of people get a decent job with no further experience than having managed a youth team or not managed anyone. You've had 3 managers who on paper should have done alright.

Sometimes it all just clicks, some of the best management appointments in history across various sports is for it all to come together with a fairly WTF appointment.

Can't see him catching Chelsea in 4th place though.

I heard on the radio a few days back, that Ole said Alex was helping him.

So he's been involved in the last 3 appointments, I'd say he was batting 0-3 in his judgement. Might be a great manager, but he isn't a great chooser of managers.

Oh, come on, the excitement of those first few months where he smashed record after record?

I don't recall what they won, all I remember is they were all sacked in disgrace.

FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.

I think "disgrace" is a little harsh, there were no suggestions of impropriety with any of them.

Other top 4 teams (aside from Liverpool) seem to be imploding, got to be positive for you

I'd rather narrowly avoid relegation than qualify for the Champions League and Liverpool be champions

Agreed.

I was confident we would catch Arsenal before today’s result anyway. I don’t think we will catch Chelsea though.

It’s horrible that City losing twice in a week is actually a bloody disaster.

Have to say, actually feeling positive and looking forward to a match for the first time in years!

...with a reinvigorated Martial in the starting 11 it could be an exciting 90+ minutes
