It was definitely cut on the broadcast I saw, there was a noticeable jump in the action. However, on the zombie episode, SyFy showed the episode at 9pm and specifically said "we're showing this episode later than usual due to violent scenes". So, they have some common sense.

I watched about 10 minutes, managed to identify pretty much every character poached from Firefly and gave up.

Still going with this, however it's really playing second fiddle to the much better Killjoys (and way, way ahead still, Defiance).

But, it makes a good Friday evening entertainment.

Good news. Last few episodes were an excellent run.

Season 2 just started.

I should mention, I gave up towards the end of season 1 not because I wasn't enjoying it, but because SyFy were cutting the episodes so much (they were doing the same with Killjoys, that made me stop watching too).

This morning I downloaded an episode from SyFy's catch up and it appeared to be completely uncut, so it might be worth watching the show that way rather than live broadcast.

EDIT: This show is full of swears! :O

I tried watching this a while back and didn't get past episode 5, I tried again recently and it actually gets better as the story goes on.

Season 2 is off the a good start and I'm glad there is a sci-fi show that's a bit gritty and doesn't mind shooting people in the head!

Enjoyed the first series & so far S2 has been just as good, retaining the good storytelling, gritty action & shonky sets & FX...

Still cheese, still poor fight choreography, but a couple of plot points keep it chugging a long nicely.

As for Killjoys, it's plot seems to be going a bit too fast at the mo, hopefully that will settle down now we have the basic plot for season 2.

Still works out a good double bill of sci-fi.

I'd agree with that. Half way through season one and I liked Killjoys better than Dark Matter, but the pendulum has swung the other way for now. I'm enjoying them both though.

Season 2 has improved a lot over the first.

I was a bit unsure about whether to continue watching but the show has really turned around. Nothing particularly original but damn it's fun.

Definitely as good as S1 so far, with better CGI ship effects & I'm liking the ship android's V2.0 look & attitude. The main storyline continues to surprise too especially with the fate of "One" & the original version of him.

I tend to hold off until I have a seasons worth of episodes to watch.

But I just keep going back each week for this. Always the sign of a good show.

I think the show has gone from strength to strength in the second season. The recent story with the android and what is really so artificial about artificial intelligence has been very well handled and I'm enjoying the new members of the crew, although we all know that's going to go bad at some point.

Killjoys is also still enjoyable for me.

I've kind of stalled on watching Dark Matter. I can't watch it with the wife because there are no subtitles on Syfy, and I don't get the time to watch it on my own.
