One of the worst opening series episodes I've seen. Talk about a big slow mess.

Very disappointing opener. Once again the Wachowski Brothers have let me down. Apart from the impressive on-location visuals there was nothing else to get excited about. Below-par acting, some dreadful dialogue & only a smidgeon of actual plot.

I'll give it another couple of episodes to see if it improves....

Had quite high hopes but just has no hook, watched the first episode twice to try and find the point of it but can't

Watched second hoping it would pick up and fell asleep. Looks pretty but that's all it has going for it, just dull self indulgent nonsense.

watched the first ep, not even the martha jones bedroom scene could keep me interested. I'll pass on this. Why oh why did JMS get involved

I've watched 6 and nothing much has happened yet. It's alright i suppose, but it's so slow moving. I don't hate it, but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Well, i've done a complete 180 on this - when it uses it's core USP properly it's really quite thrilling. The last 5 or so episodes were great. It took a while but now i completely get it, it's also quite graphically violent which is also fun.

I didn't think much of episode 1 but 2 grabbed me and 3 was really good.

So a lot of people here advice to keep on watching even if you didn't like the first episodes?!
I like mostly all series on Netflix but this one seemed already based on the describtion a little silly. The firste episode was rather meeh so I thought I can let this one go with clear conscience
But after reading this I fear I might miss something and I will fight through season 1

Have watched the first three episodes now & it gets marginally better as it progresses but still there is a lot of pointless talking where the minimal plot grinds to a halt, which I assume is character-building scenes but they are just Dull & Boring & i find myself tuning out.

Also, did we really need that Bollywood scene in Ep2?

Visually stunning and with a soundtrack I loved - typical Wackowski fare, all style but little substance with a lot of philosophical musings thrown in to the mix. The series did nothing and went nowhere but I still had to watch 'til the end to see what happened.

Totally agree - this was the highlight of series for me. When they started working together with their different skills, this was the whole point of the series but there just wasn't enough of it. Mind you, I'm still trying to work out what 'skill' the DJ Riley brought to the group.

I'd watch a season 2 if it was commissioned.

Up to Episode 5 and it is really boring. Yes, we get you're still getting to grips with the whole 'networked to other people' thing but I just want to fast forward to the bit where they've finally got it. This shouldn't take five episodes! Can't stand any more Mexican guy looking in the mirror and seeing the Korean while the Nigerian fella fronts up to gang leaders and the German dude and his annoying mate channel the Indian chick! Plus the 10-minute 'music and deep philosophy, man' bit at the end - if it went any slower, it would be going backwards.

And that Bollywood dance scene in Ep 2 or 3 was soooooo lame. Like an impromptu night out would turn into a professionally choreographed dance-off like that.

But I'll stick it out if you guys say it gets better!!

Interesting, Gravesend46. My wife and I are up to episode 5 too and we're enjoying it. The slow build up doesn't bother us at all. We both enjoy spending time with the characters as they slowly realise what it all really means.

Different expectations, I guess.

It's not that I mind a slow pace. The Leftovers (IMO) was an excellent example of a very character-driven and slow-burning show.

But with Sense8, the characters (again IMO) are all mind-numbingly dull with the possible exception of the Chicago cop and the Nigerian guy. The rest of 'em really leave me cold.

Watched the 1st episode last night and although quite slow and not sure what is going on it's intersting enough to carry on watching.

I quite enjoy watching stuff that isn't always perfectly clear what's going on as long as there are some explanations along the way.
