Superb season 2 finale. Although it felt a little rushed in places and probably could have done with another 30 minutes. Now the long wait for season 3.

Fantastic finale. Bear McCreary is matching the excellent score he did for Battlestar Galactica in provoking emotion and setting a sombre scene and the chemistry between Jamie and Claire was fantastic throughout.

Exactly, I think it needed to be longer, a double show rather than one extended. The Culloden storyline felt a bit rushed, I didn't really feel the hopelessness which enabled Clare to make her reckless suggestion.
As noted the music was wonderfully evocative, beautifully poignant.

Really good episode, so many plot lines and stories coming full circle it felt like the show's foundations shifted slightly as we moved to this new era.

Wasn't sure I could get on with 60's Clare at first, but the story overwhelmed any reticence, and I simply wanted the best of endings.
Have to wait another year I guess, but so glad it's still Clare and Jamie's Outlander, I wasn't keen on any sort of handover.

It was a solid finale but can't help but be disappointed with the lack of Culloden action. On the plus side, the new female addition is very nice eye-candy & I look forward to seeing more of her in future seasons. Also 60's MILF Clare is even more beautiful than her previous incarnations!

Milf Clare, really? Not so keen on her Cruella deVille look myself.

Really enjoyed the series and fantastic news that it has been renewed for 2 more seasons.

This might have been explained and I might have missed it but...

Excellent news, the show is fantastic but be prepared for how dark it gets. Early episodes don't give that indication!

I wonder if they make cuts to

it was really nasty and unnecessary for that level of detail.

First two episodes of S3 have been ok but the Jamie storyline totally lacks any tension as we know (from scenes in S2) that he survives. It all just feels like it's "filling in the gaps" between S1 to S2...
