Didn't really work for me that one. A bit too dark but without any of the intelligence of any of the previous episodes. Ending was a bit abrupt too.

All in all, a bit hit and miss but definitely looking forward to the next series.

The twist was a little too early in this episode leaving a finale that was a little too long where you were expecting another twist that didn't materialize.

the balance of comedy and horror wasn't quite right, but loved the horror elements - very creepy. Reminded me of that BBC horror one by the other LoG stalwart about the door knocker

I really enjoyed all of them (I actually like the balloon one...)...the last one just lacked something at the end, one more twist of the screw, so to speak.

The first three were excellent. The last three were mediocre, with the final episode just awful.

A 50% hit rate isn't too bad though, so I'll be watching season two.

Same here. I only noticed as I saw it in the Sky planner [ good old series link ]

Not a bad start and, despite missing the first 5 minutes, you could see the twist coming a mile off.

Next week's, according to the Times on Saturday, is meant to be the best of the series and - arguably - the best 30 minutes of TV so far this year. The fact that it stars Sheridan Smith is more than enough reason for me to watch however

I'm loving this so far! I know the last series was hit and miss but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The last episode with Sheridan Smith was brilliant,

Superb so far. Could not work out what possible scenario could make sense of the first 25 minutes, but then...... Excellent.

Excellent episode this week - the Sheridan Smith. Couldn't have started better with Sheridan in a nun's outfit

Agree with Arthur Fowler, bits of the first 25 minutes wasn't making much sense at all and then ....

well that (the sheridan smith one) was an all round excellent piece of work. I didn't see the twist and I thought the whole thing was done superbly. A bloody excellent piece of television .. drama ? comedy ? let's just say bloody excellent

It was a strange sort of episode whereby if you watch it (without knowing the twist) then 90% of it makes sense. But then you twig at the same time as Christine does and then it all makes perfect sense.

Knew nothing about this show - did Season 1 in a night now up to date. Loving it.

Season 2 has been great so far (Really enjoyed the train episode).

Will be showing the wife the Sheridan Smith episode this evening, expecting tears.

Great episode. Also good to see Michele 'Betty' Dotrice on TV again (although she does pop up every now and again, looking at IMDB) - was annoyed, as I recognised her but couldn't picture exactly from where.
Didn't see the twist coming.

Well the witch episode was a bit meh for me. Not got high hopes for this week either - one reviewer had the witch episode on a par with the Sheridan Smith one but says this week is a marked step down.
