I'm still enjoying it, but I'm not sure about some of the decisions they're making (spoilering out of an abundance of caution)

watching series three at the moment and it has been excellent. Just watched episode 8 I think, and a superb hour of TV action, up there with the 'Watchers on the Walls' battle in GOT
the standard and scale of Vikings has grown and I would look forward to series 4, highly recommended to others

Yes, it's been another good series so far & ep.8 was a fantastic "all-action" episode with decent CGI shots showing the scale of the attack & an interesting depiction of how Paris looked then.

Sad to say I've dropped this one - I loved the first two seasons, but wasn't so sure about the third (see above) and the reviews so far make me think it hasn't recovered.

I'm up-to-date & still enjoying it as much as I ever did. It still has plenty of issues (unlikeable main character, looking at you Ragnar! & concentrating less on the Vikings and expanding too much story-time to Paris & Wessex) but it still continues to fascinate me with what was going on in that time-period & with the visual effects continuing to improve, the action scenes get bigger & better!.

Totally with Tony G, Season 4 is probably the best one so far!

I've recently watched Season 1 to 4 of Vikings on blu-ray and wow what a fantastic series this is. I honestly wasn't expecting much but Vikings has far exceeded my expectations. The blu-rays have some really good bonus features as well.

The first three seasons fly by at a blistering speed, compared to something like Game of Thrones with its glacial pace. Season 4 doubles the number of episodes and you can really notice the slower pace as a result but the season is still great - I think they are going for that magic 100 episode 88 episode syndication milestone which they should get by the end of Season 6.

Comparisons between Vikings and Game of Thrones would probably be misleading I suppose. Vikings certainly has more battles and some of the characters only seem to be developed enough to move the story along. That isn't to say that some of the key characters don't get developed because they really do. Even if there was no more Vikings after Season 4 the entire journey was still well worth taking and if you've seen season 1-4 you know what I'm talking about; anything from season 5 onward I'm just viewing as a bonus.

I was looking for something to watch to get through 'the long night' waiting for the final season of Game of Thrones next year - I wasn't expecting Vikings to be right up there with it and for it to become one of my favourite series, but it has.
