Just caught up with the last episode. Pretty disappointing relative to the rest of the series. Terrible acting at stages and generally ridiculous I thought.

The weakest episode so far but that's because not much seemed to happen?

ACC Hilton will be out of a job by the end of this.. As she's got him by the balls now....

Been hearing for years how good Line of Duty is, so with its BBC1 debut thought it'd be a great jumping on point, although very watchable I am not impressed as it is very far-fetched. A detective doesn't twig that a person from another branch who transfers to co-investigate a case that internal affairs just happen to be interested in...

When the forensic expert of the case that the detective is being investigated for by internal affairs dies that same detective is allowed to be in charge of the investigation of the death...

Will watch this story til the end as it is enjoyable but won't be coming back next year.

For what it's worth, the previous series have been brilliant.

The latest episode had me rolling my eyes in so many scenes and you really have to suspend your sense of disbelief. I went with it earlier on, but there's just so many things going on now where they really seem to be pushing the limits of what would actually happen. Even how some well established characters are behaving, its just nonsense.

She did get taken off the case but ACC Hilton who fancies her put her back on it as he was trying to get his leg over and she was playing him like a Piano.
I've seen all 3 previous series and all were excellent. I still think this is as good. S3 was just exceptional...

The turning the tables interview in the last episode was daft.

Sure Hastings may appear an old sexist and a mason but that doesn't dissolve any suspicion of her

Last night was the same for me, its plot is relying on the audience being comfortable with these characters behaving very stupidly and out of character in order to advance the plot. I don't think that's been the case in the other series?

One episode left, will be interesting to see where it goes as all bets are off now that common sense and reality has been thrown out the window.

Giving someone your user and password so that "IT can reset" was ridiculous.

Yes, just one instance of the dumbness that's crept in. I agree with most of the above. It's gone right downhill in this series. Established characters are now acting like idiots, and the ease with which Huntley is able to manipulate all around her has become ridiculous. Involuntary giggles escaped me when

And is it just me or does ACC Hilton look as though he's wandered in from Trumpton? I can't take him seriously at all.

One of the big wig police chiefs in Brooklyn Nine Nine was almost the same character. Only more comic.

That was the biggest one of the night. And then he just rolls over and thinks he's being stitched up rather than saying what happened and suggesting they look at the building swipe card logs.

Then you have your Huntley woman just not turning up for work, nobody noticing her left arm hasn't been working for days/weeks, her husband setting up this appointment to give a statement which seemingly takes a couple of days to happen, the new forensic evidence etc etc.

Its just all over the shop.

Pretty satisfying finale I thought which went a little way to rescue this series. Still nowhere near to the standard of the previous, which set a very high bar.
