Yes agreed. This was fantastic - how Brooker weaves three acts with plenty of surprise, drama and clever technology, then ties it all up with his sharp wit is genius. I also like how this is almost a feature and not quite a TV drama.

I thought it was very good as well - some of the twists you could see coming, but I don't think that matters if the story is good enough, and these three were certainly that in my view. I thought the actor in the final section with the ex-girlfriend and child was particularly good at portraying the emotion of his position through the bulk of the story, and the end result for Jon Hamm was fantastically chilling.

Classic Xmas TV

Just caught up with this and thought it was great. Probably my third favourite episode so far; I still slightly prefer the first two eps of season one, but this was certainly one of the stronger ones.

And I like the way they got that Irma Thomas song in (brilliantly used in ep 2) yet again.

Just watched this and think it's the best one of the lot. Absolutely chilling at the end - the stuff of nightmares.

Also enjoyed it.
Black Mirror often throws up something different that works and I think the best approach is to watch them without reading any previews whatsoever.

I watched this yesterday and thought it was excellent.

But I just had one question...

12 new episodes coming to Netflix apparently, though C4 still have a 'First Look' option.

Great news!

To immediately complain about a good thing..... I can see channel 4 enforcing some restriction on the UK streaming. Lets hope that they aren't stupid enough to release them weekly in the UK and then all at once everywhere else. I'd want them on Netflix in proper streaming quality and without ads if they are one a week. No chance any discerning viewer would watch them on TV if given the choice.

1+1

Anyone watched it? I enjoyed previous seasons but gave up on episode 1 after 20 minutes.

It's a brilliant set of new episodes. Some better than others.. but not a chore to get through by any means. How many of these stories does Charlie Brooker got in him?

'Worst' episode for me was the one with the soldier Men Against Fire. Best are San Junipero and Hated in the Nation.

San Junipero is simply amazing, everything about it is spot on. Just the last one to go but I'm sure I'll immediately be stating again from the start. Weakest episode was Men Against Fire but I use the term relatively speaking. It's a fantastic series with a stunning cast.

I read a recent IV where another series is already commissioned. But after that unsure.

San Junipero is bloody brilliant. How does he keep these ideas coming?

Damn you Brooker!

I have a question about Hated in the Nation.

I think I answered my own question! Great series! I think my favourite was Shut Up & Dance which felt like classic Black Mirror for me.
