They are developing new villains, thats good, always fighting with the usual ones would make those villains look weak because they cannot kill the heroes, maybe Ahsokat, but not in the 2 season.

You mean Ahsoka? Yeah i think that at some point something is going to happen to her as she doesn't appear in the movies, but that's obvious (the one in the cut scene of Ep3 is not her!)

I personally dont think she should survive Order 66.

are people still watching this? thought yesterdays was pretty good. makes you wonder why they are bothering with a live action series when they would be much better off sticking to this format.

Well Clone Wars Season 6 came and gone, how was it for everyone?

Because, quite frankly, that was some of the best episode of the entire run! Only one duff Jar-Jar episode (Why the hell do they keep insisting on that ******* character!?!?!?!)

Best episodes were the ones about Jedi Master Sifo Dyas, Attack of the Clones confused the hell out of me with the Clone Army storyline and left loads of questions about it. Now it's all clear and the next time I watch Attack of the Clones it won't feel like such a mess. So in my eyes they actually fixed a prequel movie!

I want to check animated Star Wars however I'm a bit confused because there are several different series? Where should I start? Are storylines in episodic formula or are there arcs?

Also I found this - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/03/1...he-right-order . Should I watch in this order?

I never got the sense that the series was shown out of order, it all seem to fit to me!

Just ignore that claptrap

Managed to catch a few episodes and I'm quite enjoying it! This definitely feels like Star Wars and thats the most important thing.

I think the new official viewing order actually makes sense. I decided to use that because people have mentioned that dead characters return later on when watching in the original order (didn't want to read further to avoid spoilers). I have already noticed something myself though; the episode "Clone Cadets" in S3 does not make sense to come after "Rookies" from S1.

S6 quite excellently tidied up most of the leftover problems from the Prequels - it even made midichlorians ok !

Yup! If this was included in the prequel films then it would have helped them no end

I just finished season 4 on Netflix and am really struggling to enjoy it. I do intend to finish the show, partly because I'm a Star Wars nut and this is all "official continuity", and partly because I keep hearing how good season 6 is.

But I would struggle to recommend this show to anyone. It's deeply flawed. First of all, it's 100% a kids show and I was lead to believe otherwise. Yes there is quite a bit of death in it, but from a storytelling perspective it's utterly simplistic for the majority of episodes and characters are thoroughly one dimensional. Any character growth that may seem to happen in one story arc is completely reset afterwards (Ahsoka being the biggest culprit here). Obi-Wan's dialogue seems to be nothing but sarcasm. Bad guys just speak in evil-bad-guy-sentences-mwah-ha-ha!

The thing which really removes all enjoyment is that we know that Anakin is never in any danger. Obi-Wan and Padme will never be hurt. Dooku and General Grievous will never be defeated, because it all happens afterwards in Episode III. So there's zero tension.

Now, this does also have some serious benefit, because there are a ton of non-movie characters in the show and when the focus is on them it REALLY comes to life. The best episodes by far are the ones focused on the clone troopers. These guys are extremely interesting (even though you can't tell them apart) and get the best stories. The episode arc with them fighting on the jungle planet with the racist Jedi general was really incredible stuff. Ahsoka and Ventress don't fare quite as well because their flat personalities get in the way, but at least the stories focusing on them are far more unpredictable.

The show also looks amazing, visually it's got to down as having some of the most stunning battle sequences ever created. But then you get that as the backdrop to another episode with Anakin in a big fight with some silly alien running things on behalf of Count Dooku (seriously, why does he have all these incompetent alien commanders stationed on various planets?) and it becomes something I have on in the background.

Also, Savage Oppress is the stupidest bad guy name ever. Made worse by the silly way it's pronounced.

Oooh, now what is THIS new announcement all about...?

Let that sink in. Because you helped make it happen with your love for the series and unwavering support.

Just announced by Dave Filoni at San Diego Comic-Con during a 10th anniversary celebration of the beloved animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be returning with 12 all-new episodes on Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming service. Created by George Lucas, the show first aired in 2008 and became an entry point into Star Wars for an entire generation, following fan-favorites like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala, while introducing major new characters like Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex. Its stories were complex, its heroes and villains were perfectly imperfect, and its look was captivatingly beautiful. It became a multi-Emmy winner and is now regarded as essential Star Wars.

But it was never finished. The Clone Wars ended after five broadcast seasons — just as Ahsoka left the Jedi Order. A few post-Season Five episodes were later released as “The Lost Missions,” but the story wasn’t over. Fans have clamored for Disney and Lucasfilm to finish what was started ever since. And now it’s actually happening.

Hopefully the stuff they didn't include in the lost missions will be completed; the guy that voices Obi Wan said they recorded a lot of stuff for season 6.
