Annoying Trends in Music - Part 75292438

Oh joy, just heard the latest in an increasingly annoying musical trend. The song in question is a 'dance remix' (and I use the term loosely) of that song from Three Men and Little Lady.

Remember if you want some quick cash then find some song from the 80s/early 90s and then play the chorus on a loop with a painfully generic beat in the background (that probably came straight off the demonstration mode of a Casio keyboard). Then make a cheap video with a couple of 'glamour' models prancing about in their knickers and watch the moolah roll in.

How many more of these are we going to get before even the most Elizabeth Duke clad people get sick of them.

Is that the song that uses one of the same samples as Mylo's forthcoming single 'In My Arms'? I'd be soooo annoyed if this steals Mylo's thunder.

Annoying trend for sure. Cannot stand it. The FHM/Loaded powered videos don't help matters as they only fuel sales by teenage boys... The DVD Maxi-Enhanced-Super Single is out soon. Along with 2 other CDs of crap remixes, which is silly really as the original itself is a remix (loosest use of the word). Probably. Vapid utterly talentless rubbish. *phew*

Prepare for the battle of the Boy meets Girl sampling tunes, all 3 of them!:
"Falling Stars" Sunset Strippers (Direction)
"Star 2 Fall" Cabin Crew (Data)
& Mylo,
all due out around the same time, I believe.

Then there's "On a good thing" by C-64 doing the same thing with The Commodores "Flying High"

& I danced like a maniac Saturday night to The Sharp Boys "Maniac", an upcoming Call on Me stylee of Michael Sembello's "Maniac", one of my favourite 80's records that missed out on being a hit over here but rightly got to no.1 in the US.

I think they're alright but you soon tire of them.

Mylo An example of how this sort of thing should be done.
Rest of 'em should be burned. I find it hard to believe they didn't nick Mylo's idea.
