One of these will be erased from history: Star Wars/Star Trek: choose which?

Been thinking about this the other day.

If you were forced to allow one of these to be erased from history which would it be?

I love Star Wars but the sheer volume, immersiveness and characterisation of Star Trek would win it fo me.

Which would you choose?

I would erase Trek if it was between the 2 - but given a real choice, I would erase The Godfather Trilogy.

If it were to be totally erased from history then I want to pick both. I do enjoy both of those but if they were totally erased I wouldn't miss them would I? Plus I'd have loads more money and the TV schedules would be open for some new stuff.

I'd pick both. Then there'd be less nerds around.

Star Wars, Star trek just has to much volume of stuff that can appeal to so many people to be erased.

Erase from history? Well, you're going to need a Time machine for than.. Don't think time travel's ever appeared in SW but has made numerous appearances in ST.

Of course, you travel back in time (by gravitational slingshot aruond the sun or an einstein-rosen bridge) stop the production of one or the other of these films. You then end up with a Quantum Bifurcation in the Space-time continuum. One reality where the film exists and one where it doesn't So why not stop them both then you'd have a reality where they both exist, one where ST does but SW doesn't and one vice versa.
You may argue this has already been done and you're just living in the wrong Quantum universe..

"Then there'd be less nerds around."

ah, Johnny Vodka.. you can't keep a good nerd down!

Star Wars

I wagged off school to watch it at the Odeon when it came out. Enjoyed it at the time, 13-years old, but really cannot stand what anything else that has followed. [Having said that I have not seen 'Empire Strikes Back' which everyone rates. Having seen all the other guff I don't feel invlined to].

Star Trek would go for me - while I actually do really enjoy it (mainly TNG admittedly), it's nothing compared to Star Wars.

No need to pick one. Lucas has already erased Star Wars from history.

Star Trek and its clones should go.
I've known two women trekkies, both now divorced.

Star Trek! Responsible for more divorces than Star Wars!

Lord of the Rings, 'cause it's terrible!

Oh, sorry. It has to be Star Wars od Star Trek? Then Star Wars definitely. Because Star Wars is and always was rubbish, and Star Trek is great.

Although a few more years of Voyager and Enterprise and the greatest franchise of all time will be a bad distant memory.
