The UK R2 seems to be in limbo but I have the Dutch R2 which is a superb disc. Picture and audio is excellent and I believe it has the same extras as the R1 (if that helps).

I noticed that the already great US R1 disc is being rereleased in the next couple of months:confused: .

And no the UK disc never did come out.

Watched it and am now sorely tempted by the R1. Is the making-of a decent length or a pointless ten minute featurette?

i dont think it's even 10 minutes long. sat down to watch it one afternoon and it was over almost before it started iirc...

the commentary is good tho original cast and Richard Donner.

It was never released, and as Play state, this item is not available. Also, I don't think your link works. :searchme:

edit: sorry, I didn't read the later posts.

I always thought that it was the kids telling fibs to make it sound EVEN more exciting cos they were being interviewd for TV. Didnt know that there was a real octopus scene at all.

Doesn't the Octopus sort of dance away at the end as well, after Data puts his Walkman on the head of the Octopus?

I would've loved to have read Chris Columbus' script though, which apparantly was mostly non-stop adventure, and was about 3 hours long.
