I think I have swung season 3's way - it is the strongest for me, with all the best characters.

2 didn't have Marlo - 4 didn't have Stringer - 5 didn't have Prez - 3 has the lot - television perfection!

Having watched them all again in the run up to season 5 (for the third time) season 2 is still my favourite.

S2 for me as well i think. Ep11 with
killed me the first time i saw it.

In all honesty though all the seasons were perfect.

Sorry to have to spoiler based moan, but given that the thread title doesn't say spoiler in it maybe you chaps could stick tags around some of the stuff you're writing.

I know its old news to you guys, but seeing as this thread is now really operating on a level of getting people interested who never saw it before (it convinced me to watch it on the FX channel) it would prob be worth it. I vaguely knew about Stringer, but now I know there's no Prez in S5

That's not really a spoiler though as nothing happens to lead to his exclusion...besides, he is in it really

Anyway, title changed - sorry if I've spoiled it. Bang your head against the wall a few times and you might forget it

I'm miles behind here, but I just watched the finale for season 3 last night, after V+'ing it from FX.

It may just be the best hour of television i've ever seen! Just so incredibly good on every level.

Yeah, we've finished the first three seasons now. Just waiting on our mates to get through four so we can borrow that off them.

Yowsers! It's good stuff.

Kind of weird listening to the commentary on the final ep of Season 3 (the first one I'd listened to) and hearing how it's all metaphor for 11th Sept and the ensuing Gulf War... I never noticed that.

It wasn't a patience issue mate. Had heard about the show and the 4th was the most recent season so was the one I plumped for. Speaks volumes for the show that it managed to captivate me entirely as a standalone series, as well as entice me into seeking out the previous 3.

EDIT - Ahhh I see your point

Even so it still works! You can work back and fill the gaps in the arc and it still draws you in. Simply remarkable television genius.
