Giblet - you're not going to turn out to be one of those spammers who pretend to be real people are you? It's just that all your posts so far suggest exactly that.

Thought I'd ressurrect my old thread as just finished Black (recommended, mroe twists and turns than you can shake a stick at) about a girl who can see imminent deaths and the cop she works with.

Netflix then gave me a big list of foreign fantasy programmes as I liked Black

examples: Oh my ghost (8.1 on imdb!), Green Frontier (7.5), A korean Odyssey (8.3 and another journey to the west remake) and a load more, needless to say I hadn't heard of any so thought if anyone here has been exploring the foreign genre output of netflix, so far Kingdom and Black has been superb, everyone's been harknig on about Dark but I wasn't impressed, too hard to follow as the characters don't have enough character to stand out.

I think I thought Black and Dark were the same series.

Foreign TV discussion

I enjoyed la mante on Netflix, a French murder mystery.
Canadian shows, isn’t ransom one? About hostage negotiators. And can’t recall the other one about a female detective (angie). Gah off to google!
It was motive!

There's a load of Canadian shows, they insidiously sneak under the radar as seeming american (as a lot of US shows shot in Canada for the tax breaks) but my favourite was The Collector, back in the 90s think it was, Zone Horror (the horror channel) showed it over here. Was a soul collector who made a deal with the devil where he tried to redeem the souls before collecting. Be a bit dated now as this was the days off one off eps and it had a loose storyline, whereas now it'd be serialised properly.
